History:
Started as an idea in 2006-2007, Katisaa means shine. The center desires for everyone touchedfrom North Christian Church, Columbus, Indiana raised some money and traveled to Machakos to begin the first phase of the building project and established a temporary health clinic.
Due to the social and political climate of the region, many women find themselves single and unable to provide for their young families. Many people, including children and elderly walk 8-10 miles to attend worship in an overcrowded building with standing room only.The building is presently inadequate for their education and training needs.
