History:

Started as an idea in 2007, when Joshua Kiilu, Indianapolis, Indiana, spoke with his parents in Machakos, Kenya, regarding the need for an educational center and church in his hometown.

 

 

 

Due to the social and political climate of the region, many women find themselves single and unable to provide for their young families. Many people, including children and elderly walk 8-10 miles to attend worship in an overcrowded building with standing room only.The building is presently inadequate for their education and training needs.

 

 

 

 

Katisaa means shine. The center desires for everyone touchedfrom North Christian Church, Columbus, Indiana raised some money and traveled to Machakos to begin the first phase of the building project and established a temporary health clinic.
